Always plugged in or not?

Hey fellow owners, do you keep it plugged in even when it's fully charged? I've heard mixed things about whether it's better to leave it plugged or unplug once it hits the charge limit and I think a friend something about it being in the manual to always keep it plugged in, I haven't read it myself tho, sojust curious what others think and are doing and if there are any long-term effects either way.

I read it better to leave it plugged in. That way if it needs to cool or heat the battery it can use power from the charger instead of the battery. Also, if you want to remotely cool or heat the cabin, it will use power from the charger instead of the battery as well.

Yeah, it's actually fine to leave it plugged in, the car manages the battery and stops charging once it hits your set limit. A lot of EVs (Lyriq included) are designed to stay plugged in when parked, especially if you're using scheduled charging or need preconditioning. No real downside as long as your limit isn't set to 100% all the time, many people I've come across leave it plugged in unless they're on the road or parked somewhere without power.

I usually leave mine plugged in, it keeps the battery balanced and ready to go. Haven't noticed any long term issues, but I do try not to let it sit at 100% for weeks on end
